Job Description

Job Summary:

To be responsible for operating the turners’ machines and the mobile crane to lift, move, position, and reposition loads.

Key Duties and Responsibilities:

  • To operate both lathe machines and the mobile crane (Model: Sanny 5002, 75tons) according to verbal, written or signal instructions
  • Create work schedules and adjust as needed to meet project deadlines
  • To be responsible for operating a mobile crane to lift, move, position, and reposition loads.
  • Inspecting the lathe and crane to ensure its safety
  • Cleaning and maintaining all turners’ machines and the crane hoisting mechanism
  • Contribute to self and team development.
  • Comply with OSHE procedures and established regulations in all aspects of work.
  • Maintain safe and housekeeping standards.
  • Perform any other duties as may be assigned by the supervisor from time to time.

Key Requirements

Education and Work Experience:

  • A Diploma or equivalent qualification in a relevant discipline
  • Valid driver’s license and Operators permit
  • Grade 12 School Certificate
  • More than 4 years working with mobile cranes
  • Experience and ability to operate a crane

Skills and Competencies:

  • Achievement of work targets
  • Able to understand the load charts
  • Ability to work with minimum supervision
  • Basic rigging experience will be an added advantage
  • Absolutely comply with the project’s rules and regulations
  • Adherence to OSHE standards
  • Cleanliness of equipment

SALARY: K7,000 TO K7,500 GROSS
